Class Description
This 2-day advanced level course has been designed to educate the practitioner in the understanding of the screening process for physical therapy evaluation and treatment. The practitioner will be taught the screening process for the cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, endocrine/metabolic, immune and urogenital systems. The practitioner will learn how to develop and a differential assessment and treatment plan for various visceral dysfunctions. The assessment is designed to educate the practitioner in appropriate treatment strategies for these dysfunctions. This course will include an optional comprehensive exam, offering the clinician eligibility towards certification in line of the orthopedic and osteopathic manual therapy courses.
Topics of the Day
This 2-day course is designed to offer hands-on experience and to help the clinician gain expertise by learning how to:
- Identify the screening process for general physical therapy evaluation and treatment.
- Identify the screening process for specific visceral systems as related to the respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive, endocrine/metabolic, immune and urogenital systems.
- Design and implement appropriate differential assessments for the various organ system dysfunctions utilizing various manual therapy techniques.
- Design and implement appropriate treatment plans for the various organ system dysfunctions utilizing various manual therapy techniques.
